This limited edition cereal is described on the front of the box as a "sweetened whole grain oat cereal" which is "gluten free" with the "first ingredient (being) whole grain oats." The side of the box tells us that it is "made with real strawberry puree and other natural flavors". An authentic strawberry flavor is present in every bite. The cereal is generously sweetened and some may be reminded of the flavor of Franken Berry cereal from the 70's (when it was still good).

The back of the introductory box consists of a beautiful images of a carton of strawberries and the title "It's Strawberry Season." It says, "Celebrate with a bowl full of sweet flavor with Strawberry Cheerios. Strawberry Cheerios are made from real strawberry puree from strawberries grown in California."





The first 8 ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are whole grain oats, sugar, corn starch, oat bran, corn syrup, strawberry puree, canola oil and salt.

Cheerios has given us other strawberry varieties in the past, but in the case of Strawberry Berry Burst Cheerios and Strawberry Banana Berry Burst Cheerios, the "strawberry" came from freeze-dried berries as opposed to a cereal coating.

I love this cereal! This tastes better than the original Cheerios in my opinion! Strawberry Cheerios has to be kept in stores so my mom can buy them! I rate this a 10/10! I love this!

I bought a couple of boxes of these every time I went to the store, while they had them. I thought they were so good and the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that they kind of have the Capt. Crunch mouth-shred effect, but not as bad. After I have a bowl I use up the leftover strawberry milk with bran flakes or something healthy but boring that can be brightened up with that milk. PS. I am so happy to discover this site!

A good tasting version of Cheerios. The strawberry taste is very strong. I recommend trying them before they are pulled from the shelves.
