This cereal is described on the front of the box as a "chocolate baked oat cereal with a hearty crunch and a light, sweet drizzle." The back of the box states, "It's loaded with crunchy baked oat bites and covered with just a touch of chocolate drizzle."

The first 5 ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are whole grain oats, sugar, corn syrup, soy protein isolate and semisweet chocolate chips.

Around the same time or shortly before this cereal came out, General Mills introduced a non-chocolate version called Nature Valley Baked Oat Bites. As this chocolate version began appearing on shelves, it became harder and and harder to find the non-chocolate version causing many to wonder if the other cereal was being phased out in favor of this cereal.
