This limited edition cereal is described on the front of the box as a "sweetened mocha flavored corn cereal." The side of the box notes that it has "no artificial flavors or colors from artificial sources" and "no high fructose corn syrup" and that it has "whole grain as the fist ingredient."

The back panel of the introductory box was a newspaper-themed activity page with a "Mocha Mania Crossword Puzzle" and a set of word games called "Cafe Quickies". It had the following descriptive text about the cereal:

"MAKE IT A MOCHA MORNING! Breaking News! New Mocha Crunch brings the great taste of cocoa and coffee to your breakfast bowl. Pour some for yourself and sit back and relax..."





The first 12 ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are whole grain corn, sugar, corn meal, dextrose, palm oil, corn syrup, salt, cocoa powder, canola oil, cocoa processed with alkali, corn starch and caramel color.

Maybe Post could have had a caffeine-free mocha or coffee Pebbles cereal, with an ad featuring Barney Rubble disguised as Juan Boulderz (a spoof of "Juan Valdez". LOL!
