This cereal is described on the front of the box as a "sweetened whole grain oat cereal flavored with peanut butter & cocoa." It's noted that the "1st ingredient (is) whole grain oats" and that the cereal has "no artificial flavors or colors." The image on the front of the box featured a bowl of the cereal next to a bowl of creamy peanut butter and shavings of chocolate. The cereal pieces are chocolate brown and peanut butter tan.

Text from the back of the box says:

"We're Better Together. That's why we've combined the sweet taste of real cocoa and peanut butter into a single bowl of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios."





The first 10 ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are whole grain oats, sugar, peanut butter, dextrose, corn starch, corn syrup, canola oil, cocoa processed with alkali, caramel color and tripotassium phosphate.





Before this cereal came out, General had introduced Chocolate Cheerios in 2010 and Peanut Butter Cheerios in 2012. This cereal does not appear to be a combination of those two cereals, but rather a distinctly new recipe.

WOW! This stuff is like the best cereal! Awesome PB taste and goes so well with the chocolate. I'm a HUGE cereal fan but have never been a big Cheerios lover but, dang, these are are really good. Vaulting in to my top ten cereals ever!
