This cereal is described on the front of the box as a "shredded, sweetened whole grain wheat cereal." An enlarged piece of the cereal with a drizzle of chocolate resting in a pile of peanut butter is the only non-logo graphic element on the front of the box.

The back of the box declares: "WHOA. WE DID IT. We brought EPIC FLAVOR to old school shredded wheat."

At the same time this cereal was released, General Mills also released Cinnamon Toast Crunch Blasted Shreds. A press release about both cereals reads as follows:

"A bowl of these mighty bites are bursting with flavor and offer a breakfast taste experience that's more like WHOA than wheat. The first ingredient in both options is whole grain wheat, which will help power you through those busy mornings!"





Nutritional Considerations: Each 2/3 cup serving of Chocolate Peanut Butter Blasted Shreds has 230 calories, 5 grams total fat (1 grams saturated and 0 grams trans), 0 mg cholesterol, 45 mg sodium, 41 grams total carbs, 7 grams dietary fiber, 12 grams sugar and 6 grams protein.





The ingredients listed on the nutritional panel are whole grain wheat, sugar, peanut butter, canola oil and cocoa. BHT and vitamin E added to preserve freshness.
