There were 2 varieties of Donut Shop Cereal introduced by Kellogg's in 2017: Chocolate Donut and Pink Donut. The Pink Donut variety is not strawberry, cheery or any other flavor associated with the color pink. As multiple reviewers have stated, it tastes like frosted animal crackers.

On their official website, Kellogg's described the Chocolate Donut variety as "chocolate loops with cocoa and sugar dusting." They described the Pink Donut variety as simply "pink loops with sugar dusting."

A description on the back of the Chocolate Donut Cereal box reads: "It doesn't get any better than this! Chocolate Donut cereal has a deliciously sweet chocolate donut flavor! Enjoy donuts by the dozen in milk or as a crispy snack."
