This cereal is described on the front of the box as a "sweetened corn cereal with marshmallows... marshmallow shapes and colors may vary... flavored with other natural flavors." It's described in press materials like this: "Fruity Lucky Charms combines sweet, fruity-flavored corn cereal with magical. colorful marshmallow charms."
The marshmallow shapes are "hearts, stars and horseshoes, clovers & blue moons, unicorns, rainbows & tasty red balloons!"
The back of the introductory box features an activity panel titled "A Magical New Discovery!" "Lucky has discovered an enchanted orchard where fluffy marshmallow charms grow on colorful rainbow trees. Can you find an exact match for each tree by finding the trees that share the same charms?"
The ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are whole grain corn, sugar, corn syrup, modified corn starch, dextrose, contains 2% or less of: corn starch, salt, canola oil, gelatin, trisodium phosphate, malic acid, citric acid, red 40, yellow 5 & 6, natural and artificial flavor, blue 1... plus a smattering of vitamins and minerals.
In 2006, General Mills introduced a very similar cereal called Berry Lucky Charms.
