The complete name of this cereal is Hostess Honey Bun cereal. It's based on, and shaped like mini versions of, Hostess Honey Bun snack cakes.

A description on the back of the introductory box reads like this: "It's a Honey Bun cereal kind of day! Do you love the sweet taste of a Hostess Honey Bun? Rolls of honey glazed pastry wrapped in circles with a wisp of cinnamon. Now you can enjoy all that classic flavor in a new way with Hostess Honey Bun cereal. Try a bowl to start your day and get ready to roll."





The ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are sugar, corn flour, whole grain oat flour, canola oil, salt, calcium carbonate, natural and artificial flavor, honey, red 40, yellow 5, blue 1, yellow 6, and a smattering of vitamins and minerals.





At the same time this cereal was introduced, Post also gave us Hostess Donettes Cereal based on Hostess' mini donut snacks.
