This cereal is described on the front of the box as a "blueberry waffle cereal (that is) flavored with other natural flavors (and has a) sweet crunchy taste." Each cereal piece is speckled in blue and has 7 holes to give the appearance of a waffle.
The ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are flour, sugar, whole wheat flour, degerminated yellow corn meal, palm oil, contains 2% or less of invert syrup, salt, wheat flour, natural flavor, calcium carbonate, wheat starch, fruit juice concentrate for color, vegetable juice for color, turmeric extract color, annatto extract color, baking soda, blueberries, BHT for freshness and a smattering of vitamins and minerals.
This cereal, and another cereal introduced at the same time called Eggo Homestyle cereal, represents a reintroduction of the Eggo brand to the cereal aisle. In 2006, Kellogg's gave us Eggo Maple Syrup cereal and Eggo Cinnamon Toast cereal.
