Introduced in 1942
"The Most Raisin Raisin Bran."
A 1957 ad for the cereal described it this way:
"The only cereal in the world with sugar-coated raisins happens to be Post Raisin Bran. Dolls... and guys... of all ages tell us it tastes extra wonderful. Crispest flakes - and plump, juicy raisins dipped in honey and sugar. Guess that's why more people buy Post than any other raisin bran on the market. It figures!"
In the early 70's, Raisin Bran added "plumper raisins" and promoted the cereal with the tagline "Everybody loves a fat raisin." Here's the narration from a TV ad during that period:
"Post Raisin Bran introduces the Fat Raisin. He's plumper, juicer, jollier than ever before. And when we add hundreds of these fat, jolly raisins to the crisp golden flakes, new Post Raisin Bran becomes an even greater tasting cereal. After all, everybody loves a fat raisin."
In the early 90's, the cereal referred to itself on the box as Post Premium Raisin Bran. Ads at that time used the concept of "somebody must think I'm special (if they serve me Post Premium Raisin Bran)."
