Introduced in 2006
This was a wild berry flavored whole grain cereal with marshmallows in the shapes of hearts, shooting stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, pots of gold, rainbows and red balloons.
The following description comes the January 26, 2006 press release that announced the introduction of Berry Lucky Charms:
"Berry Lucky Charms combines whole grain cereal pieces -- bursting with the flavor of wild berries -- with colorful marshmallow charms, to create a magically delicious cereal that both kids and adults can enjoy.
"Like signature Lucky Charms and Chocolate Lucky Charms, Berry Lucky Charms contains Lucky's eight magical charms: hearts, shooting stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, pots of gold, rainbows and red balloons. It also features the great taste and nutritional benefits of regular Lucky Charms and is a good source of whole grain and 12 essential vitamins and minerals.
"Lucky Charms has been a family favorite for four decades, and we're thrilled to introduce a new flavor of this well-loved cereal," said Erica Sanders, Associate Marketing Manager for Berry Lucky Charms. "With the introduction of Berry Lucky Charms, we are offering a new breakfast experience with the same colorful fun of Lucky's magical marshmallows in a delicious new berry cereal."
The primary cereal pieces in Berry Lucky Charms are purple in color.

This was a good take on Lucky Charms. I like fruity cereal so I definitely liked this cereal. The cereal pieces had a subtle fruity taste to them. I definitely liked these better than regular Lucky Charms. It's a shame they don't make these anymore.
