Halloween Crunch (Cap'n Crunch)
Introduced in 2007
This limited edition Halloween-themed cereal from Quaker's Cap'n Crunch line was described on a the box as a "sweetened corn & oat cereal - Ghosts turn milk green!"
The cereal was made up of traditional Cap'n Crunch pillow-shaped pieces and three different kinds of green-speckled ghost-shaped pieces.
In 2010, the cereal box featured Cap'n Crunch wearing a werewolf costume (or possibly being transformed into a werewolf). The back of that box had a "Monster Mashup" activity where you could "create your own unique crazy creatures" and "trade 'em with your friends."
In both 2007 and 2009, the Cap'n was shown dressed as a mummy, smiling wickedly, shooting fire out of his hand.

I just bought a box of this at Walmart. I haven't tried it yet but after scouring this website and seeing all the cereals I've missed over the years, I make sure to pick up these limited releases!

This cereal always signals the start of the Halloween season to me whenever I see it in Target. I never buy it, but the box always makes me smile. Cap'n Crunch is a cool dude!

@nykki - This cereal definitely turns the milk green. The only conclusion I can draw is that your milk is normally green and you didn't notice.

We were out shopping with my nephews and they saw this new cereal and we bought it. We came home and they wanted a bowl, so I gave them some, and they were very disappointed. The milk did not turn green, like it said it would.

I bought the 2012 version at Wal Mart a couple of weeks ago and my kids ate it very quickly. My wife went back to Wal Mart to buy more but they were sold out. We lucked out and found one remaining box at Big Lots this past weekend. It sells quickly.
