This cereal is described on the box as "lightly sweetened wheat, soy & rice flakes (which provide) 10g protein (and) 5g fiber (per serving)."

The first six ingredients listed on the side panel are wheat bran, soy grits, rice, wheat gluten, soybean oil and whole grain wheat.

I like the new improved Special K Protein Plus. I do wish they had kept the higher fiber though. I am having a hard time finding it. Wal Mart seems to be always out.

We also do not like the new and improved Protein Plus. Won't be buying it anymore. It used to be the ONLY cereal my daughter would eat, not this new crap.

Kellogg's Special K Protein Plus cereal (until around August 2012) was an excellent choice for a breakfast cereal. They have now "improved" it and ruined the nutritional content especially by making the THIRD ingredient sugar and drastically reducing the fiber. I will no longer use Kellogg's products because of this. With a rising epidemic of obesity and diabetes and the extra costs coming Associated with healthcare, shame on Kellogg's for making this change.

In my opinion, this is the perfect cereal. The ideal balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat. I'd eat this at every meal if I could get away with it. ;-)

I am 78 years old. I need all the protein and vitamins in this cereal. I feel more energetic and have more of a lively step since I have been eating Special K faithfully every morning with 1% milk and a banana. I feel I am helping myself by doing this. I used to have oatmeal every morning, but now I have switched to all of your Special K products and have gotten my husband to do so too. Thank you for helping me get more of the vitamins and minerals I need to promote a healthy lifestyle.
