This is how the cereal was described on Kashi's website in October of 2008:

"Organic Crispy Rice & Wheat Flakes with Organic Strawberries and Raspberries

Now you can enjoy the fresh taste of organic strawberries and raspberries in a certified organic cereal featuring lightly toasted flakes of rice and whole wheat. Each spoonful of Strawberry Fields truly captures the sweetness and taste of each berry. Yum!"

When the cereal was first announced on October 3, 2002, a press release described the cereal like this:

"For those who love the taste of fresh strawberries on their cereal, Strawberry Fields is the ideal choice. Featuring light and crispy long-grain rice and whole wheat flakes, Strawberry Fields is the first certified organic cereal with large slices of organic strawberries and raspberries. Each spoonful truly captures the sweetness and taste of each berry."
