"They're DO-LICIOUS!"

The official name of this cereal was "Chocolate Flavor Donutz Cereal." It was described on the front of the box as "a crispy, sweetened, 3-grain cereal." It was promoted as having "chocolate flavor through and through and they're crisp and crunchy too."

Donutz cereal also came in a Powdered Donutz variety. The mascots for both cereals were 4 harmonizing donuts - or possible 4 oversized pieces of Donutz cereal.

The side of a box from 1981 said, "Remember that Chocolate Donutz Cereal is an important part of a nutritious breakfast with milk, juice, toast and spread. Every one ounce serving of Donutz provides 25% of the U.S. RDA of 7 vitamins and iron."

The first 10 ingredients listed on the nutrition panel were degermed yellow corn meal, sugar, wheat flour bleached, oat flour, coconut oil, corn syrup, cocoa powder processed with alkali, salt, beet powder color and caramel color.







Known Premiums: Send-away offer for Donutz Flyer (a donut-shaped frisbee with the cereal's logo and catchphrase).

Just okay, but the powdered sugar version was OUTSTANDING!!! Sure would love to buy them again.

I never had this cereal, I just saw the commercial on YouTube. The jingle is one of the catchiest cereal jingles I've heard. But then again, I enjoy music from the 1950's, so make of that what you will.

This cereal was delicious. I remember whenever I stayed at my cousins house we would eat either powdered or chocolate flavored Donutz cereal every morning. Both were very good but the powdered especially. I would kill for a box of these right now!

This cereal was actually not very good. I like most of the big chocolate cereals... Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, Count Chocula, etc. But I remember this cereal tasting kind of like the imitation chocolate in cheap hollow Easter bunnies. Great box though.
