Introduced in 2006
"La Lechera" translates from Spanish to English as "The Milkmaid" as you might ascertain from the image of a milkmaid next to the name of the cereal on the box.
This cereal consisted of "cornflakes flavored with Nestle (brand) La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk."
The first six ingredients listed on the side panel were corn, sugar, corn starch, nonfat milk, calcium carbonate and sweetened condensed milk.

I wish they bring it back. I haven't seen it anywhere in the LA area. The last box I got was like 7 years ago.

Absolutely delicious! I've been trying to find them in stores ever since I first discovered La Lechera Flakes in a local discount market some years ago. As it is a product offered by Nestle Foods, you might try their website for clues on getting them yourself. I've long suspected that when products are 'too good' they are held back from wide distribution, because people would never get anything else...

Best cereal EVER! If you haven't tried it yet, I really recommend it - like no other corn or wheat flake cereal I've ever tried.

I love this cereal, but it is so hard to find, even at the border. I asked and they said that the people come to the US to buy cereal because it's so expensive. Does anyone in Houston, TX know where I can find some?

I had to buy this from a Walmart in Mexico. I can't find it here in America. It's so much better than Frosted Flakes!

La Lechera is better than Frosted Flakes. Where can I find it in Howard Beach, NY? The first time I found it was in Richmond Hill in Key Food and Met Foods Supermarkets. - Marie
