Introduced in 1958


Early boxes described this cereal as a "bite-size cereal - ready-to-eat." Later boxes would describe it as "bite-size toasted corn." When it was first introduced, the only ingredients listed were corn, sugar, salt and malt. This cereal was originally produced by Ralston Purina. It is currently being made by General Mills.

I miss the malt extract. They added brown sugar syrup to add some of the same flavor elements, I think, but it's not the same. Close... But not the same.

I love Rice Chex but I never liked the taste of Corn Chex. I'd rather eat Wheat Chex than Corn Chex.
