A press release from January 3, 2008 described this cereal and the Strawberry Harvest Crunch version that was introduced at the same time:
To help consumers eat healthier and manage their weight as part of their ongoing lifestyle, South Beach Living(TM) foods from Kraft, formally South Beach Diet(R) foods, is introducing new menu options offering convenience and great taste.
South Beach Living(TM) Cereal
Both heart-healthy cereals contain zero grams of trans fat / saturated fat and zero mg. of cholesterol. The cereals are an excellent source of whole grain, with 31 grams of whole grain per serving and contain at least nine essential vitamins and minerals, seven grams of protein and eight grams of fiber per serving.
