Vanilla Nut Rainforest Crisp
This cereal is an extension of Rainforest Crisp, a cereal introduced by Rainforest Products in 1991. Rainforest Products was a company conceived by former Grateful Dead manager Sat Santokh Singh Khalsa and partially funded by the band's guitarist/singer Bob Weir.
Golden Temple, Peace Cereals' parent company, absorbed the Rainforest Product line when Rainforest Products faded away.
In early 2009, Peace Cereal Products' website described the cereal like this:
"Step into our tasty jungle of rich vanilla oat clusters, crispy corn flakes and plenty of real cashews. Rich, earthy Brazil nuts give a tropical crunch you'll be sure to hunt down and enjoy every morning.
