The founders of this company began making granola in the back of Pasadena, CA health food store in 1969. The cereal became so popular in the Pasadena area, they decided to reach for a broader customer base by partnering with a local bakery and moving their operations to a larger facility.

In 1980, Nutritious Living moved to their current headquarters in San Dimas, CA.

Today, the company says (via its website) that "Nutritious Living remains dedicated to the art and science of making healthy foods that are affordable and that pass the taste test. Our comprehensive product line includes a variety of delicious cereals, snacks and shelf-stable entrees, each carefully designed to support a healthy lifestyle and to help you Feel Your Best...
