This line of cereals was created in 2005 when Kraft Foods expanded an already-existing alliance with The South Beach Diet (and its creator, Arthur Agatston, M.D.). Under the brand "South Beach Diet", the food company launched a new line of products including cereals, meal replacement and cereal bars, refrigerated sandwich wraps, frozen entrees and frozen pizza.

Shortly after the discontinuation of this product line, Kraft introduced it's South Beach Living Line of product.
