New Product Review:
I liked this product. Potato pancakes are a chore to make. Grate the potatoes... squeeze the moisture from the potatoes... grate the onion... mix the mix... make the pancakes.
With this mix, all you do is add water and egg, wait and fry. The instructions advise you to let the mixture set 30 minutes before cooking. I actually had the best results when I let it rest a full hour.
I won't lie. These aren't as good as homemade potato pancakes. But really, is anything as good as homemade potato pancakes? These pancakes tend to get a little tough as they cool (so get 'em while they're hot). But if you're craving potato pancakes and don't want to go through all of the hullabaloo, it's great to have this option.
I tried them with applesauce and I tried them with maple syrup (my favorite way). Like their homemade equivalent, these pancakes paired very nicely with the sweet toppings.
We received a complementary sample pack of this mix. Right now, it's only available in bulk packaging aimed at the restaurant and hospitality market. I'll let you know right here when it becomes available in family-size packages.
The picture directly above is a batch of these potato pancakes that I made.

OMG... This looks delicious. Are they making it in family-size packages yet? I haven't seen it in the stores.
