New Product Review:
These frozen pancakes were easy to prepare and tasted great compared to similar freezer-section pancakes. The presence of oats was very noticeable. They give the pancakes a hearty, more-substantial texture. One serving consists of three 3 1/2-inch diameter pancakes.
Of the three possible preparation methods, we preferred heating them in a conventional oven over microwaving or toasting. They became enjoyably crisp on the outside, but stayed moist and bready inside. The oven method takes 8 minutes, but it was worth the added minutes to have multiple servings ready at the same time. Our least favorite method was microwaving which resulted in limp, lifeless pancakes.
If you can get them at a reasonable price and make them in the oven, I'd recommend trying this product.
Nutritional Considerations: Each 3 pancakes serving has 230 calories, 3.5 grams total fat (1.5 saturated and 0 trans), 42 grams total carbs, 4 grams dietary fiber, 11 grams sugar and 8 grams protein.

I regularly buy Aunt Jemima Confetti flavor pancakes (and occasionally the elusive blueberry flavor) so I was excited to try these. However, I thought the oatmeal pancakes were okay, but really nothing special. I did enjoy the texture of the oats and the whole grain flavor profile, but when you're used to the confetti pancakes these just don't measure up. Still, I suppose I might buy them again every so often for a change of pace. As a side note, I have to say that I actually prefer my pancakes heated in the microwave. I love the soft, spongy texture.
