New Product Review:
I tried two varieties of Jimmy Dean Delights Egg'wich (The Breadless Breakfast): 1) Bacon, Spinach, Caramelized Onion and Parmesan Egg Frittatas with Turkey Sausage and Cheese; and 2) Ham, Bell Pepper, Mushroom, Bacon and Onion Egg Frittatas with Turkey Sausage and Cheese. Of the two, I narrowly preferred the Ham and Bell Pepper variety.
These are basically breakfast sandwiches with flavorful frittatas replacing the bread. They're easy to hold, but some might prefer to use a fork as the bottom frittata of each sandwich is always quite moist - which is a slightly awkward sandwich sensation.
There are 4 sandwiches in each package. They are very easy to prepare. You simply vent the package, microwave for almost 2 minutes and let cool for 2 minutes.
Both varieties have terrific tasting turkey sausage. I thought it tasted more like pork sausage than most turkey sausage I've tried. The frittatas in both varieties are quite good. The texture and flavor of the egg seems close to their homemade counterpart and is better than many similar microwave products.
The Bacon, Spinach, Caramelized Onion and Parmesan Egg Frittatas with Turkey Sausage and Cheese is terrific. It has a bold cheese flavor accentuated by the Parmesan. You notice bacon in every other bite. The bacon feels more like a seasoning than a meat, but it works. Spinach is noticeable in specks of color within the egg, but not much in flavor. The caramelized onion adds a richness that's noticeable in each bite. Overall, I thought this sandwich was full of flavor and very satisfying.
The Ham, Bell Pepper, Mushroom, Bacon and Onion Egg Frittatas with Turkey Sausage and Cheese variety was even better. The bell pepper adds a freshness that the other sandwich lacks. The cheese is more subtle because of the lack of Parmesan, but that had me appreciating the sausage more. Despite hardly noticing the ham or the mushroom, there was something about the overall flavor that was just a little better than the bacon variety.
Both varieties are quite salty - just short of being too salty. They were also both quite expensive. I paid $7.99 per box.
I appreciated that the cheese stayed on the sandwiches during the microwaving. So many microwave breakfast sandwiches ask you to wrap the product in a paper towel while microwaving. Once done, the paper towel often has more cheese on it than the sandwich. These hardly left a speck of cheese on the packaging.
I'm glad to report that the Jimmy Dean Delights Egg'wich is a solid, better-than-average microwave product. I'll certainly be finishing all of the sandwiches I bought and I'll be inclined to buy then again... if they are on sale.

If you are gluten free these are a great option! And probably taste better to us than people eating yummy croissant sandwiches. But overall I thought these were great!

Absolutely LOVE - tasty and guilt-free for this paleo-focused eater - and they ARE keto-friendly! As a treat, I throw on a slice of turkey and tomato slice AFTER they are cooked. Delicious! Now I'm on a hunt to find the least pricey vendor on-line - hate paying so much at my Safeway.

Why do they not say on the package 'gluten free'?

Great low carb option. The sandwich was good but high in sodium, 840mg in my sandwich. I will purchase again!

I like the Frittatas, so I was inclined to try these as I want to limit my bread intake. I loved the Bacon, Spinach etc from the first bite (have not tried the ham version). They are pricey, but I would definitely buy again, great way to have variety.

I can't figure out why they have to use Turkey sausage? Turkey's aren't meant to be sausage that's why I can't stand it. Wife bought them and after a bite I was done. Love Jimmy D but Turkey? Come on.

Love the egg'wich! I've always liked breakfast sandwiches but they're too messy when eaten without the bread since I am gluten free. Nice alternative!

I find that I smell sulphur all day after eating the egg'which. I've tried the various styles, but still smell sulphur the rest of the day. Very odd!

I tried these because of your review and found them very bitter. I could not get past the first bite... but my dog loved them.

I was a little disappointed. I thought of a sandwich... as not so moist; however, I guess I could use a fork! It was okay, not my favorite Jimmy Dean product!
