Denny's
It's either Route 12 or 13 (I get the two confused)

PART ONE (Part two on other Denny's Leominster page.) I actually work as a server (and have for an extended period of time) at this Denny's. I have worked all shifts. I prefer to conceal my identity, but I believe that working there has afforded me a lot of information about this particular restaurant that anyone concerned should see. I may post this on multiple sites.
1. Most of the negative allegations directed toward Denny's Leominster are probably true (at least the ones preceding my post on MrBreakfast.com were) :
There was, in fact, a server there named Terri who randomly started making racist comments on a pretty regular basis. Right out of nowhere. Right out in the open. She wasn't terribly intelligent. She wasn't particularly popular among the (very diverse) employees. Customers didn't seem to be big fans either. She was fired, though, shortly after the onset of her crazy comments because of a confrontation she had (in the dining area) with one of the long-time servers.
People should know that Terri absolutely does NOT provide a legitimate example of the personalities, traits, work ethic, and/or opinions of the rest of the servers and other employees of the restaurant.
Also, that French Toast Substitution thing is true. (See preceding reviews on MrBreakfast.) The servers wound up casually telling a manager from another store about it at an out-of-town meeting, and the Leominster Denny's was forced to change the way they did this. As far as I know, now it's $.99 for one piece and $1.59 for two. I'm not sure if this is standard nationwide or if it's another rip-off.
2. This Denny's is part of a decently large franchise owned by Realty Resources Inc., operating out of Maine. It is not part of corporate Denny's. Corporate Denny's sets forth basic guidelines and provides them with marketing material, but this franchise is independently operated. The top guy is Joe Cloutier, and neither he nor anyone else at the "top" show any evidence of caring even slightly about the conditions of their stores OR the employees' concerns.
Even when they make their physical rounds to each of their stores, they say and hear what they must when it comes to the managers and are rude and dismissive of the employees in general. They are mostly just hard on management concerning profit and theft control. When they receive complaints, they place blame on specific people but make no real effort to truly improve things. Their emphasis on training is lacking. They have the same apathetic attitude about underhanded, subpar, illegal, unjust, and unsafe happenings, practices, and conditions within their stores. Any dissatisfaction that one experiences as a customer of any one of Realty Resources' restaurants (at least in THIS region) ultimately stems from that.
Denny's Leominster is practically dilapidated. The last day that I worked there, it was raining and the ceiling was leaking water in at least ten different places, which usually puts between two and eight different tables and booths out of commission. On occasion, it leaks on servers as they work behind the counters and actually leaks onto one of the customer counters. The older servers claim that the roof has been in the same state for many years before I began working there. When I complain to management, (because my customers complain to me,) they just apologize, claiming that they've told the franchise owners countless times about it and they never make solid plans to fix it. I imagine that they'll fix it when a customer is severely injured from slipping on the wet floor or when they finally do the renovations they've been promising to do since before I began my job there.
I could give about a billion more similar examples about the condition of the restaurant and the inconsistency of Joe Cloutier's Realty Resources.

i always sub french toast instead of pancakes.they always charged me a dollar, which isn't a bad price for two pieces of french toast, then they kept the price but cut the the portion to one piece of toast, still not bad until i was told by a friend that works there that you are still suppose to get two pieces. she said the manager is ripping people off.

Denny's is a typical chain truck-stop type restuarant, with pre-made, reheated food, questionable clientelle (especially given the proximity to the mall, major highways and the Motel 6), and mediocre, cookie-cutter meals. With so many unique, inexpensive, and creative diners in the Leominster-Fitchburg area, Denny's should be an absolute last resort for someone looking for good breakfast. The only time I would consider going to this restuarant is if I was unbelieveably starving at 2 am, and nothing else was open. Even then, I'd probably regret it when I sobered up!

i like eating there, but i was told that they make all there employees work on christmas, because they would lose to much money to stay closed, but they can not give there employees a pay increase for working christmas because of that same reason. i feel bad for the waitresses who are olny making $2.63 on that day.i think they sould at least give them $6.75 for that one day.
