I would take a plane from Ireland tomorrow just to eat breakfast at Sarah Beths. This place was recommended by Alex Baldwin...and it didn't disappoint.
If you like good service.......delicious food.......old style atmophere.......then check this out.............

I'm always a fan of breakfast restaurants with a creative flair and SaraBeth's fits the ticket. Everything is delicious and the everyday breakfast foods have a special something added to make them memorable. I recommend the Four Flowers Juice, any of the pancakes and the chicken and apple sausage. I've heard raves about the Eggs Benedict as well. It is pricy for breakfast but it's worth it because a trip to SaraBeth's is a real treat.

I went there based on the rave review on this site - but it was pretty mediocre. The food was okay, and the portions were pretty meager. I got eggs benedict, and walked away hungry. Sorry.
Also, the coffee was pretty bad.

Homey, country inn vibe in NYC. Incredible food... hard to choose between the great omelettes, the killer pancake specials... yummy sides and juices too. And don't miss their award winning homemade jams and jellies. Always packed on the weekends. Go early or expect a wait.
