My family and I went to this Dinner.I was never so mad in my life when I saw the way the "Owner" Disrespected-Humilated His servers.The food was way over priced and really not that good.

i have to say this place has not changed over the years. the server took my order and disappeard into the back room. when she came out she was more interested in selling lottery tkts than serving my food that was sitting in the window for several minutes.it didn't really matter as the cooks had already screwed the food up.the omlet was left on the grill until it turned to cardboard and they put the dry sausage and cheese all in one end of the eggs and rolled it up so half had filling and half had nothing.home fries are not chunks of potato dropped in a deep fryer. they are done on a grill. if you are going to deep fry your breakfast potato's there french fried chunks not home fries. these cooks are so lazy they can't even drop them to order. these potato's were cooked and left sitting in the kitchen till they were room temp and then given to some poor sucker who thought they were going to get a nice breakfast. didn't happen!!!!! this place should replace the word diner on their sign with dump. for this very bad food i payed 11.50 thats for a sausage and cheese omlet and a coke. the owner should fire these two so called cooks and find someone who takes pride in their food. you will not find GUY FIERI doing a show about this place.

3 egg omelet was thin, overcooked and oily slime. veggie fillings old and cold. prices high, $25 for 3 breakfasts, partners had regular eggs, hash browns and toast. potatoes ok, nothing really fresh. place empty at 7:30 am, servers bored. i would avoid this unless you just want to see interior (pretty cool) and have something simple, not cheap.

After reading the reviews I had to look at the picture twice to be sure I was reviewing the same diner some of the others were. I'm a big diner fan, and this was one of the worst I've ever been to. The place could use a good cleaning. The breakfast food is average at best. The scrambled eggs were good, but it's hard to mess up a scrambled egg. The home fries were totally dried out pieces of potato, suggesting they came from a freezer and were possibly microwaved to warm. Coffee refills were plenty, and the coffee was pretty good. The waitress we had was a nice, friendly woman who provided good service. Though not exceptionally pricey, I found this meal way overpriced for what it was. The place is fun during bike weeks because it's a hangout and a "place to be," but if you're going there for ambience or good diner food, it ain't the place you're looking for.

we visited this "Diner" from out of town, the service was interesting as the waitress just got out of rehab. My quesadilla was the worst I've ever had (how do you screw that up?), my friend's burger was full of grizzle. I told the rehab waitress this and she asked why we ate anything, we ate less than 1/2 of our meal, we told her we were hungry, and she was busy talking about her rehab to the other employee, she said oh too late, the manager doesn't do refunds if you've eaten it. It was raining, water was coming in through the window, no one seemed to mind as we were getting wet, and then we saw a LIVE ROACH (NO KIDDING) crawl up the wall, we were out of there and we paid FULL PRICE. I will be contacting the Health Inspector today.

i go to the starlite diner about once a week and i love it. the new owner is great. he can be pretty rough with the servers but hey, he has to run his business. the portion are huge! breakfast or lunch all day long. i love this place the servers are so down to earth and know exactly what a customer is looking for. love you guys. keep up the good work.

We always come in for the Pepsi 400. We usually eat breakfast there every day. This time (7-06-05) the service was very poor, the waitress was not friendly at all. I do not think I will go back in 2006.

what a let down the diner use to be such a great place im not sure who the new owners are but they sure dont know anything about food or services. that place use to be packed now i think only the rats eat there. the general manager they had there before kept that place going she was a gem to bad the new owners let her go. i wish we knew where she was at because we would go there. at least you could get a smile. my tip to people who wants good food and a clean place to eat is dont go to the starlite because there food is not anything i would eat unless you are caring tums.

We thought we would try the Starlite Diner out. Boy, what a joke that place is. The servers aren't allowed to talk to you -- just take the order and that's it.

The owner screams at the poor girls on the floor. The food takes twenty to thirty minutes to get and then when you get it, it's cold and the servers just look at you with tears in their eyes -- so you don't have the heart to send it back.

Well it is race week and we went to our favortie diner -- except we were so shocked when we went in. Nothing is the same. Everything is different. To get your food, it is a joke. We use to go in and be in and out. Now the floor is flooded with servers and the cooks I think are all on vacation. The owner or manager is nowhere in sight. It's a shame because it was a fun place to go. Not any more.

WE GO TO THE STARLITE DINER EVERYTIME WE ARE IN DAYTONA. I CANT BELIVE THE CHANGES THAT OCCURED IN THE LAST WEEK OR SO. THERE IS NO MORE BIG CUPS ITS NOW FOR SOUP PLEASE. THE WAIT STAFF IS SO UNHAPPY. IT WAS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO COME IN THERE AND SEE THE SAME PEOPLE YEAR AFTER YEAR. THEY DONT HAVE THE GENERAL MANAGER ANYMORE WHICH REALLY STINKS. AND JARROD IS NO LONGER THERE. AND GOD REST HIS SOUL POPS WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE ANY OF THIS. THE FOOD IS NOT ANY GOOD. PORTIONS ARE WAY TO SMALL FOR WHAT YOU PAY. The omlete I had was burnt, the coffee was bitter and the service lousy when I went, but it could've just been an "off" day for them.

Might try again, so long as I tell em' last time was bad, maybe it'll be better.
