This is my favorite restaurant in Greenville. I have never had a bad exprience with food or service. Great family restaurant!

Well, Stax Omega is now closed. But I've lived in the Greenville area long enough to know that all the restaurants that closed during the economic downturn closed mostly because they just couldn't cut the mustard.

The staff as Stax was always the main problem. The food was fabulous and delicious, but the wait, the lack of attention on the part of every server I ever had there, and the often discourteous behavior on the part of the younger, less mature servers were all huge turn-offs. Why put up with that when I can go 2 miles down the road to IHOP, pay 25% less on the average, and get better service? We went once and had bad service, went again against our better judgement and had bad service again, and then we swore never to go back. Hopefully the business that inhabits the now-defunct building in the future will learn from Stax Omega's mistakes.

May be it is the times but this place has really slid in quality. Last weekend has hot plates with cold food and the fact that the butter is left out on the table all day makes for a warm mess. I found some used butters placed back in the tray which was pretty gross. I also asked for no meat instead an extra egg and the manager said no. At these prices, please! This is not Dennys...actually Denny's is now better. Management...WAKE UP!

My husband and I are often at Stax Omega, and we often bring our family, including our 3 year old granddaughter. We are there so much so that we know the waitstaff remarkably well. We are writing this note to you because we want to compliment 2 people that we enjoy, and ask for, when we vist Stax. One person is Joey. Joey is remarkable because she is such a hard worker, and anticipates our needs so well. In spite of her obvious handicap she does her share, and often is helping others who are behind in their work. She treats us well, and gives personal attention to our needs. We just felt that you needed to know how we feel about her, and how much she is appreciated. Another person who works above and beyond what he needs to do is Kenny. Kenny is always there working hard, treating us well, and helping others. These are 2 people we feel that need a great compliment for the work they do at Stax Omega.
There are others we could mention that are equally hard workers. Perhaps, in the future we can mention them as well. Today though, it was Joey--a remarkable person who does not let her infirmity get in the way of being a great waitress.

Great food and service. My family usually dines there once a week and our experiences have always been great. Stanley the owner is always there to greet us and that makes a difference too!

I received a Stax Omega coupon in the mail for a complimentary Entree that states that a gratuity of 17% will automatically be added to the amount before discount. SUCH ARROGANCE! I reserve the right to determine the amount of gratuity, depending on service. An automatic gratuity takes the decision out of my hands, and offers no incentive to the server to provide good service. My personal policy for use of a coupon is to tip based on the before-discount amount - usually 15% to 20% - while considering quality of service. The coupon is in the trash. SUCH ARROGANCE!

I had their stuffed french toast and it was delicious. My son had the denver omelette which was also very good. Friendly and attentive service.

Great food and service. The restaurant had a large menu and serves breakfast all day. Their known for the omelettes but the pancakes were delicious too.

I found some of the earlier comments shocking. Stax Omega to me has always been consistently good in service and food. I highly recommend the Benedicts. The Charleston Benedict is especially yummy. Stax's french toast, omelettes and blintzes are also great breakfast choices. We love the lunch choices too. Highly recommended are the Gyros and Monte Cristo platters. I think that the regular customers and bustling meal times here speak for themselves. Stax Omega put Orchard Park on the map!

I've been going to Stax Omega literally since I was barely old enough to walk, and it has never disappointed. It's not an upper-class restaurant, certainly, but it doesn't try to be - it does hearty meals of enormous variety, without any frills. In many ways it feels like a large diner. Breakfast foods are available any time and are always of the highest quality; their waffles alone are the best in Greenville. (Their non-breakfast selection is also fantastic, and far-reaching.) Their only weakness is in their service: although their regular staff is excellent, they have a fair rate of turnover, and the newer waiters can sometimes overwhelm themselves.

If you get the chance, stop by here sometime. And I recommend the Belgian waffles!

At 11PM on June 15, 2004, 4 of our family were seated at a 4-top table. Since we were waiting for a 5th of our family to arrive, and were going to order for him, we moved to a corner table. The restaurant was 50% empty with all corner tables empty. We were informed that by the manager that we had to move. We told him that we were going to order, he told us again we had to move--that the corner tables were reserved for 5 people only. We thought he was joking--he wasn't--we left. There are way too many places in Greenville to eat to be treated so rudely. We will never again go to a Stax owned restaurant. And since I deal with newcomers to the area, I will be sure to relay this incident to every newcomer I deal with.

Pretty Bad - based on my family's last experience with the place. All 11 of us walked out because they don't have a senior menu and refused to let our 82 year old grandmother order off the kids menu. Okay guys was it worth being so hard to get along with? You just lost a lot of regular customers!
