Love this place. Can't go wrong with either the pancakes or the omelets. The service is great and the girls really bust their butts because the place is usually so crowded. But still, they always make sure your coffee is good and your food is satisfactory. Which it always is.

Flapjack has the best omelets in Lansing. They are perfectly cooked with a variety of fillings.

These folks really do make an effort to do a wonderful job. You can't beat their house omelet. They are always happy to serve large groups and bumping tables together to accommodate. Everything isn't always perfect anywhere. NOWHERE. But these folks try really hard. We've never had less than satisfactory service and always great food. And we all have bad days sometimes. I've never been a waitress but I can't imagine how I would have botched the job on some of my bad days through the years. They're human beings. Cut them a break. Smile, for goodness sakes.

I have ate at flap jacks several times the food is always hot and the endless pot of coffee is the best! all the employees are busy working and the Manager is always walking and talking to the customers. I definitly will continue to visit when I am in town. thanks flap jacks.

This is a review from a recent visit (2008).

After an almost 2 hour wait... yes, 2 hours and witnessing numerous complaints about incorrect breakfast orders we still had hope... until the "manager" came by (at OUR request), shrugged her shoulders and said she could not even guess how much longer our wait would be. Something was going on. We were one of many who just left that Sunday.

There were 6 of us and not only were the 2 kids put to the test of being hungry and then impatient us adults were too. Never have had this happen in all our experiences and will never go back. There are too many restaurants out there.

I went to the one in Frandor, and it was awful.
My eggs were rubbery, my bacon was so chewy I couldn't swallow it, and I wanted ketchup for my hashbrowns, but the waitress didn't come back until we were done to bring the bill. It was impossible to flag her down.

It was quite costly for what I got.

Ew. Wouldn't go back.

I participated in the Youth in Government Program Fall 2006, in which I stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn South, right across from a Flap Jacks. (Lansing) We ate there for Dinner, and it was most excellent! The atmosphere was just right, and the food was good. The service was also awesome! We went there for breakfast one morning, and everything was great! I would definately choose to eat the Flap Jacks in Lansing, again!

I've eaten at the Waverly-Lansing Road restaurant many times. As a non smoker it makes it so much more of a positive dining experience since it went non smoking.

The food is pretty good. I love smelt and friend chicken they have both.

You will enjoy this restaurant. I've never had a problem with their service, with dozens of visits.

I have eaten at flap jack many times and i keep coming back for more. The food is good but the service puts everything else over the top. You get ur food faster the you local fast food joint at most times and their wait staff shows impecable manners.

I suppose I expected a little more based on the name. It was very good if not awesome. It ended up costing me about $8.00 average per breakfast.

One thing worth mentioning: as we were leaving and lunch was starting, the place filled with an amazing-good BBQ smell. I wished I was still hungry.

Service was real good and I'd go back.
