The food is okay, but a little too cafeteria style for me. It was served pretty quickly and hot but that is about all I can say for it. Rhonda, our waitress, was extremely rude. We got coffee refills from another waitress as ours was too busy flirting with all of the men in the room. Apparently your gender effects the quality of your service. I'm not sure if we will ever go back....

The food and prices of this restaurant are over the top (prices aren't over the top but the food is, if you know what I mean)! I have gone there since I was born and it won't stop now. Yes, it is true that the first V.K. was old and decreped and the second V.K. was built in the wrong spot but all of that has changed. The floors have been re-done (not perfect but MUCH better than before.) The owner used to be frugal but who isn't? Word of mouth is that he (and his wife) have changed for the greater good. You have to be firm in order to have a successful business. The only downfall is the waitresses and the cooks. There are a couple (not naming any names) that need an attitude adjustment, soap in their mouth (a certain cook) or a volume button for their voice (sometimes, preferably mute). The food is excellent and Seth (night cook) makes a wonderful fish dinner and Irwin (day cook) makes awesome french toast! Many people will agree with me that Marion (night waitress, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) is an all out wonderful person with an exceptional personality. More power to her, working as hard as she does in her condition (back problems). Eat at the V.K. on either of those nights, ask for her section and you won't be dissatisfied one bit!

We drive 19 miles to eat there. My wife usually has the one egg omelette. Besides we love Rhonda

No he would let the dam place sink in the dam wasteland its sitting on with everybody who works there and build another village kitchen on top of it knowing how greedy bob jones really is!

this place was is built on a stump dump,it,s settling in the ground! the first table on the right you could put your foot between the wall and the floor,a gateway for the ticks? etc.

The village kitchen was build on a landfill area and the building is sinking under the ground if you haven’t notice the door to the kitchen being higher then the floor in the dining room! The floors are a accident waiting to happen because of the sinking floors that are unleveled and dangerous somebody could get hurt!there ants and cockroaches in the building I saw a cockroaches in the bathroom one day and didn’t go back after that! The waitress are a bunch of snobs who don’t care about the customer and talk behide there back the place is gossip why do you think everybody in Moultonborough knows everything about everybody! food prices are not that cheap if you think about it and the owner is a greedy person who only think about himself and is very disloyal to his employees I been told by past people who work there! Overall this place should of been shut down by the health department along time ago its dirty place and dangerous especially for elderly folk I would suggest voiding this place all together and go to center harbor diner or Georges diner instead!

After spending 2 hours getting a car uphill on ice this is the best breakfast you can think of.

The food is great, the helpings are huge and the service is prompt.

Only downsides we have found, the juice - not so good. The beans - not so good and they won't make a BLT during breakfast hours even though all the nesecary ingredients can be found on the breakfast menu.

This is the place that we always to for breakfast when we are visiting the lakes region of New Hampshire. The service is outstanding (even when there are 10 people at the table), the food wonderful....especially their pancakes and the atmosphere so comfortable.
