We ordered the loaded omelet with pumpkin walnut pancakes and the bacon tomato cheese (cheddar) omelet with German apple pancakes. All of the food was cooked to perfection. The pumpkin pancakes were, perhaps, the best we have had; just the right mix of pumpkin and spice. The apple pancakes were excellent as well and came with a raspberry sauce that was out of this world. Diners get a choice of fluffy or flat/dense omelets. We both went with diner-dense. Our omelets were very good with fresh tasting ingredients. We were mixed on the coffee: Mr thought it was good and Mrs thought it was avg. We've certainly had much worse. The service was excellent.

May be a bit pricey for some but well worth every penny. Hands down the best pancakes I've ever had and they make them with a variety of toppings to please pretty much any appetite. Their omlettes aren't to shabby either. Service has always been great. Be sure to get there early or you will be waiting, though the line does tend to move fairly quick.

All the food is the great, but breakfast is simply outstanding with all the regular items and some really creative things as well. Greek omelets with feta, a wonderful Mexican omelet with avocado, but Chip's the best pancakes I've ever eaten. The choices of pancakes range from blueberry--tiny wild blueberries--to all kinds of fresh fruit choices, chocolate chip, nuts, peanut butter, and you can get real maple syrup!
The staff is so friendly and the service is prompt. Go early or late on weekends. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. This good looking Greek guy owns Chips. I wonder if he's married?

I'm 61 years old, traveled around the world, and love good food. I make it a point to stop by Chips whenever I'm in the area. They are noted for their pancakes but the Belgian Waffles are probably even better. I have never had a bad meal at Chips. If there's a long line outside the door, don't be discouraged, it's worth the wait.

This is the best place for breakfast. Their pancakes are to die for--extremely light and don't sink in your gut! Recently changed ownership in early 2003; hopefully will stay the same without much changes. Staff have worked there for years and are just like family. The lines are long on weekend but move fast. Great atmosphere and nice friendly family-type service by the old-faithful staff.
