I live on the other side of the country but I've visited this place twice. The second time time we went half a day out of our way to stop for doughnuts.

They've got some amazing doughnut things there. They had these fruity jelly bear claw things that were as big as two fists one time, and the second time we got these big doughnut-type things with chocolate and peanut butter.

All I gotta say is Wow! (...and get there early, the good stuff goes fast)

Good thing I don't live in Pendleton, I'd be really, really huge from eating here all the time.

The doughnuts are OK. More of the quality I would expect from a grocery store than an actual bakery. They are a bit on the greasy side, and they seem to be rather skimpy with frosting on frosted doughnuts. The prices are about twice what you pay at Albertson's and Safeway's bakeries, and the doughnuts actually aren't quite as good most of the time; although they do have a better selection. Sometimes the service is terrible, sometimes it is OK.
