Food is just okay, but cheap and you get lots of potatoes and if you are ravenous after surfing, it's delicious.

PB is home! Every trip out there it's Konos coffee in the morning and watch the ocean! Life is Good! Helps me forget the excuse for a beach here in Houston (Galveston). I'm wearing my Konos Coffee shirt right now!

This is the perfect beach breakfast place hands down, except for it's long lost twin, Pipes, up in Cardiff. They're identical restaurants; menu, coffee cart and all. Yes, the plates are paper. Yes, the line is usually about 20 minutes to place your order. But you're on the bluff at the beach and you can enjoy your coffee while you wait for your food. It's perfect. The servings are VERY generous and very inexpensive. Great eats, simple as that.

This is the best breakfast place in all of San Diego and possibly all of So. Cal. You must have the potatoes. If there is a line, don't worry it moves fast and it is worth the wait. And as someone else pointed out it is Konos.

My Potatoes were undercooked and toast cool-, husband's breakfast burrito tasted like rice, along with the under cooked potatoes. Heard so much about this breakfast rest. and we were so excited to taste the experience, but not impressed; not only with the food, but presentation of food- (paperplates, napkins so small you need to use 15 and the plasticware). This breakfast rest. seems to have a lot of location/view and a great coffee cart but otherwise, in our opinion, over-rated.
Also, the name is Kono's not Kona's!
thanks,

Kona's is the best place to eat breakfast in San Diego. The Big Breakfast with the French Toast is my favorite. I am sometimes persuaded to try the breakfast burrito. Whatever you get though, you need to try the potatos with cheese "best potatoes in California". If you're lucky and it's not too busy, you need to sit across the boardwalk behind the shell shop. The views of the ocean are georgous, but it's more just the feeling of being there over the ocean than anything.
