Okay, the food was spectacularly delicious. But I have to admit, my stomach hurt afterward, and it wasn't Liliha Bakery's fault. I ate until I couldn't eat no more. Plus, the greasy stuff doesn't go down like it did when I was 18. Nonetheless, YUM. But a word of warning: moderation! Also, don't forget, seating is limited.

Cocoa Puffs and the people that work there -all wonderful, deeeelightful. Worth the drive from anywhere on the island. Love you guys!!

if you travel to Hawaii and don't go to Liliha you are a fool. It is one of the best local experiences you can have. Its the first stop off the plane for us. The counter is totally old school and the pancakes are really some of the best we've had. PLUS you can get a fresh grilled mahi mahi sandwich for just under 5 bucks. Delish! Folks are super friendly, the gal next to me at the counter made sure to tell us to try the famous coco puffs (we had already had our coco puff appetizers before she came in).
You can take coco puffs home to travel via frozen container (make a nice treat for the office back home) or just pick and choose from the awesome bakery selection, also very old school. You might have to wait a bit for the counter service (no tables) but it is worth every minute. Liliha was voted 2006 Best Bakery by Honolulu Advertiser. We love the Liliha!!!

This is a great restaurant especially for breakfast and its bakery. If there at the counter eating breakfast, I recommend the pancakes. If at the bakery, try the blueberry muffins, lady fingers, and what they are most famous for.... their COCO PUFFS. It is puffs filled with chocolate creme topped with their famous creme which they also put on top their famous CHANTILLY CAKE.

My husband and I travel to Hawaii just to go to this bakery. When we're there he wakes me up in the middle of the night just to have some hot cakes there. The baked goods are wonderful (and travel well, alwasy bring tupperware with you!) and the service at the counter superb!
