We hadn't been here in a while. There are other much better places for breakfast in Cape May, but they are all hard to get into in the morning unless you arrive early. We were lucky to get a parking spot right at the entrance. They are open until 2:30PM when they charge for parking since it is just across the street from the boardwalk. This is an ultra family place. Lots of kids and noisy. Tables are close together. They DO NOT take credit cards. Cash only which is surprising for such a big place. The menu is mostly pancakes and waffles and french toast. They do have eggs, but you have to look carefully for it on the menu. The paper menu becomes your place mat. All and all, everything was good. Service was also good with coffeee offerings. We like a more relaxed atmosphere at breakfast, but that is hard to find in Cape May what with the crowds and all. To find what we really like, you have to go more up-scale. But worth a trip.

I don't understand the complaints, my wife and I go to Cape May almost every year and after several attempts at other places we now eat here every morning, nothing else we found even comes close. The food isn't the cheapest in town, but they also give you MORE than your money's worth. Very rare for us to finish everything they give you. And both the food and coffee are always great. The service is always outstanding for how busy they are during the Summer. Usally young girls, assuming on college break, and they are working their tails off. Love this place, HIGHLY recommend!

I used to work at uncle bills and to the poster who said that the OJ was powdered and they used cheap product was wrong its funny how most the people that post on this thing are complaining. Its not overpriced for the food that your getting compared to all the other restraunts in this town. Everything gets more expensive every year all over the world there for every restraunts prices have to go up as well...Stop complaining

Long time cutomer, pancakes are very good but over priced as are most items on the ala-catre menu. Will not be ging back, many other restaurants in the area with comprable food and much better pricing.

This place is a tourist trap, plain and simple. The only people who eat here are those that come down to vacation, because those of us that live in the area know to avoid it. It's kind of funny to see the people stand outside waiting to be seated in there, knowing that they will be served the cheapest food possible with powdered orange juice, discounted meats, etc. Plus, those pancakes the tourists love to talk about are from a boxed mix. How funny is that?

I recently visited this eastablishment with my boyfriend and was not to happy with the selection of bagels but ordered anyway. After a few minutes we informed the hostess that we changed our minds and please cancell the order. We left more than enough money to cover the two coffees we ordered and left. We walked down the street and find another place that had a bigger variety of bagels and went in. In the middle of our oder this man from Bills started to ask me why we ran out of the place and stiffed the bill. He was loud and I was never so embarressed in my life. We tried to explain but he seemed not to give up. I thought he could of handled this situatin in a more professinal manner. I will never return to that resturant.

The cook was right. Your an idiot. How busy were they when you went there? oh wait, I'm guessing you were the only customer their so the cook obviously had plenty of time to look through EVERYTHING he cooks with to see if it contains soy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Seriously, think about it for a minute. If you know your allergic to soy and they cook with soy, then I guess your stuck with a fruit cup.....or does that have soy too?

I have food allergies and recently encountered a problem with this establishment. I would stay far away from this place if you do too! I am allergic to soy. I attempted to order breakfast (eggs) and was informed that they use vegetable oil containing soy. I proceeded to ask my server if another two items on the menu were soy free and was informed that they too contained soy. I finally asked the server to ask the chef what I could order from the menu that did not contain soy. A short time later, the waitress returned and explained to me how sorry she was but that the chef wasn't sure and that he was too busy to look at the ingredients for the items on the menu. I asked the server to send the manager over to my table at which time the chef came over and proceeded to tell me in a confrontational manner that he was too busy and that I should know what I can eat. I explained to the chef that I knew what I could eat, I needed to know that whatever I ordered did not contain soy. The chef was totally unhelpful and rude and a slob!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!

Uncle Bill's is a lot of fun! The Blueberry Pancakes are the greatest! At Easter time, you can go and see the Easter Bunny walk around the restaurant. It's a lot of fun and the service is great! The waiters are very nice!

I like Uncle Bill's. For the 15 years I have been going there, the pancakes have been good. The service at the Cape May restaurant could be better, but you're in a tourist trap during the peak season, at a restaurant staffed with mostly teenagers... All in all, they make a mighty fine flapjack.

First time there, and never again -- My husband's eggs "over light" were cooked solid. They forgot to bring his bacon, and we had to ask for it. My "crepes with strawberries" were not crepes -- they were thin standard pancakes. Get that chef a recipe. The strawberries were frozen (I had expected fresh because a different menu item promised fresh berries), and they were disgustingly soggy. I can't figure out why there was such a long queue outside the door later that morning. A truly miserable experience.

I been going to Uncle Bills since i was in diapers...I stay with my grandma during the summer in Cape May and always walk to Uncle bills when I can and get breakfeast...Im only 15 so its hard for me to find some money to go but I plan on applying for a job at the Uncle Bills that is near Rainbow Ice cream because it is in biking distance to my house

The food was exceptional. The entire restaurant (including restrooms) was very clean and the view was unsurpassed. Definately would return again and again.

Waited 35 minutes to be served. I thought I was there for breakfast, but waited until lunchtime to be served. OJ is made from a powdered mix and costs $3.00 a glass. Coffee was warm and the service was extremely poor to say the least. Try Doc Mike's if you are in Cape May. Better food and much better service. I will not make the mistake of eating at Uncle Bill’s again.

This place wouldn't make it in Massachusetts, that's for sure. A true tourist trap, the food is just good enough not to be bad, the menu is unbelievably overpriced and they only do cash (is the IRS listening ???). Waitstaff was more interested in complaining and congregating than waiting on customers. STAY AWAY!!! Not even the view could save this place.

Uncle Bill's rocks! The food is always the best. Every year my family and I look forwards to going to Cape May for a GREAT breakfeast at Uncle Bill's. Breakfeast is always delicious there and it makes us want to go back every morning!

Every time we go to Cape May, this is the place we always return to for yummy, mouthwatering food and awesome service. Get there nice and early for a window seat so you can watch the ocean as you enjoy your meal. Lots of Cape May charm found here.
