We used to be frequent customers of Avalon. It was a favorite breakfast and occasional dinner choice for my two kids, husband and myself. But the former Manager moved on to open his own place in Humble, and with him went the great service and excellent breakfast food we were used to. We went back three times afterward, and each time the service and food got worse.
(We feel sorry for the waitresses who have been there since the beginning, because they are not the problem but are likely suffering the consequences.)

We visited the Stafford location back in November, our experience was wonderful. Even our children expressed their enjoyment. (we eat out as often as we can)
The food was excellant, the service was great and our coffee never had a chance to get cold, our server was always there with refills. I would recommend this Diner to everyone, you will not be disappointed. I have not eaten at their other locations, I heard from our server that Avalon 2 has closed down and also heard that Avalon 1 is not doing so well. (Besides, the Stafford Diner is very close to our home) I would like to ask a question of the owners, is it possible to be on your mailing list? And if so, how would I go about doing such? I have left many business cards at your check-out but have yet to hear back from you. Thank you much for your time and thank you for being our neighborhood Diner, we love Avalon. I am Very pleased with the Avalon in Sugarland/Stafford, the service is wonderful, the food is Great and I love the new owners, they sent me a Christmas card with a discount coupon in it, which I will use! (hey, any discount is a plus) The Diner also is having "Giveaways" every month? (I didnt win the Astroworld tickets last month but would love to win the DVD player this month! Great for Christmas) I stopped eating here a couple of years ago, because the service was really horrible, but my parents told me that I should give them another try this year, I did, and wow, what a change! I am Very happy with whatever the owners are doing now. 100% improved!! Great job everyone, Avalon in Sugarland is the bomb! (No, I would not eat at the other Avalons, Mom said the same owners own those, they need to sale to these people in Sugarland and go do something else) Thank you for letting me tell my thoughts. i haven't been to this location BUT THE LOCATION ON WESTHEIMER IS HORRIBLE. Extremely poor service; if you ask for something else they act like you are asking too much. When I was on crutches...one of the waitresses refused to bring my tea (to go) to me. It was at the far end of the bar. She told me I had to come get it! Extremely rude waitresses! The coffee brand is also pitiful! Poor place (on Westheimer)for breakfast! Would NEVER recommend it.

The service is so fast and the food is excellent. All of the eggs are real unlike the eggs used at IHOP across the street. I have visited about five times, the only bad service I recieved was from the waitress by the name of Stacy, everyone else has been excellent. Highly reccommended !!!
