I know this place is considered an "institution" by some Torontonians, but to honest I have yet to have a fabulous Lakeview Lunch experience. The service is unbearably slow, even when the joint is nearly empty. The food is passable, but as a true breakfast lover such , this place just doesn't do it for me. I've given it about 5 or 6 tries and have yet to walk out of there without feeling a bit let down. Having said that,the staff seem like nice people. :)

Better service than Shanghai Cowgirl, not as trendy as Swan. Very unassuming, but great food.
