SAD TO SAY the lease was not renewed by the owner after 25 years, and the landmark Omelette parlor is no more as of now.

This is a local and historic favorite for the area.
The menu hasn't changed in ages. The decor shows the history of Costa Mesa and reflects an old days "warehouse" look. The food is still as good as it ever was, but as someone else said, there does seem to be a "rush" to move you out.

Ok. I am so in love with this place. Even though I don't live in so CA anymore. Yet when I did live in CA I would drive from murrieta just to get me a Every Clouds Silver Lining omelette is my favorite. Dont pass some of the best OJ around also. God I wish I was back there right now.

The wait went by pretty quickly however the wait staff seemed more interested in getting you in and out than being nice about their job. As for food, as much as the other reviewers had me looking forward to a great breakfast, i found the omlette to be quite runny and a bit lack-luster, falling far short of my expectation. I tried their waffle with strawberries, banana slices and walnuts. Amazing taste... but could have done without the large walnut shell i nearly broke my tooth on. Overall, I was expecting a hole in the wall that would reflect somewhat of a gourmet experience. I will keep searching. Go in expecting a good meal but not by any means 5 star.

Quick, efficient service. Great selection! The apple butter is wonderful! If you eat here for breakfast, you won't have to for the rest of the day.

Hard to find, but worth the effort. Looks small from the outside, but it's really pretty big. Try the hot banana walnut waffle with strawberries and fresh whipped cream or one of their giant omelettes. Cute atmosphere, friendly service.

This is the DEFINITIVE breakfast place. Do yourself a favor and order the Goofoffer Reunion omlette. It comes with a super yummy whole grain english muffin and applebutter! The potatoes are really good too. Breakfast here makes the perfect one-meal-a-day meal!

This little whole in the wall is so fantastic! If you get there before 8:00 on weekdays then your omelette is 50% off! The food is great and the venue is fantastic! If you are even near Costa Mesa you should try it!
