We used to love it there but recently dealt with the worst waitress imaginable, just a horrible, ignorant troll of a human being. This was the first time in my life that I was so incensed by waitstaff that we left mid-meal and refused to pay the check. We will never return. And yes, there is an insect problem and the asparagus is mushy and canned.

One waiter and one waitress were wonderful....one waiter or person clearing tables was rude. Breakfast was MawMaw's skillet and French toast...both to die for. Didn't use the bathroom so I can't judge that one. Great food at a reasonable price. The wonderful waiter warned us that the asparagus was canned so we stayed away from it.

The St. Louis crepe (back by popular demand) was fantastic! Wait staff was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

This place was bad. The wait was in the sun and not organized. The food was left something to be desired. The staff was nice but hard to see past the wet armpit stains on their shirts in this sweltering cafe. The bathroom was HORRIBLE. It was dirty and had cockroaches as big as cats in the bathrooms. Small space for dining and patrons stacked in. They also put used or opened pats of butter out with your food - is it ok to recycle unused butter in LA? Go somewhere else. Not worth the wait or the money. Sorry.

I expected better from a highly rated place. The asparagus I ordered with my eggs must have come out of a can, it was mushy and inedible. The fruit cup was mostly fresh fruit, but inexplicably had canned peaches in it.
The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were quite good, but I found it odd that the charge for my side of (mushy, canned)asparagus ($3) was the same as the $3 for the sauce.
A decent breakfast, but don't serve canned fruits and veggies in June!

Wonderful! Better than BRENNAN'S at a fraction of the price! Service - in fact, staff as a whole - was terrific.
