THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO EAT IF YOU ARE AT KINGS PLAZA UNLESS YOU WANT THAT FAMOUS FAST FOOD FROM MICKY D'S, BURGER KING, NATHAN'S OR SBARRO PIZZA AT KINGS PLAZA MALL. THE FOOD IS GREAT. THE PORTIIONS ARE HUGH. THE SERVICE IS ALSO EXCELLENT. FRIENDLY WAITERS AND WAITRESSES. THE COFFEE IS ALSO GOOD. DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR A SECOND AND EVEN A THIRD CUP OF COFFEE. RECENTLY, THE RESTAURANT HAS BEEN SOMEWHAT RENOVATED. WHILE THE FOOD MIGHT BE SOMEWHAT PRICEY, YOU GET HUGE PORTIONS AND THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. THE WAITERS AND WAITRESSES ARE FRIENDLY. THE COFFEE IS GREAT. FRANKLY, IF YOU IN THE AREA OF KINGS PLAZA, THIS IS THE ONLY DECENT PLACE TO EAT UNLESS YOU PREFER PLACES SUCH AS MICKY D's, BURGER KING, SBARRO PIZZA, THE WOK KING, NATHAN'S OR ANY OTHER FAST FOOD JUNK AT THE MALL AT KINGS PLAZA. I WOULDN'T FEED MY DOG THAT CUISINE IN THE MALL.

This, my breakfasting friends, is NO greasy spoon. Sure, it has the typical 25 page hyperlaminated menu typical of any Brooklyn Diner worthy of the name, but oh MAN, do they serve good food at nice prices. It is always unhurried, although the service is always slower on the left hand side of the diner, go fig.

The waitresses are almost 100% fast and friendly, and full of help, including tips on stain removal.

My faves are the bagels and lox-- a little pricey for people used to a buck for the pushcart version of the bagel an cc. They serve only delicate but meaty un-fishy tasting lox, without the avalanche of salt so common in this delish dish. A very close second are the belgian waffles which are uniformly huge, fresh and have a nice proportion of crunch to fluff. The omlette selection is also marvelous, and yes,they do egg whites.

Another good choice is for pancakes- not greasy at all. The potato side comes with bell pepper and onions, hot and again not greasy, but you gotta like peppers.

I would avoid the blintzes, which are too sweet and run gooey. To be fair again, I have had better potato pancakes too. But I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather eat breakfast while in Brooklyn.
