My wife and I moved to Michigan from San Diego, California. We didn't know anything about the area so we started "cruising" the neighborhoods, looking for the things and places we missed from San Diego. There are many wonderful breakfast/lunch restaurants in San Diego and we wanted to find something similar here. Not only did we find it, but I would say it's one of the BEST breakfasts I've had in my life! The other commenter's describe the ambience perfectly so I don't need to add anything on that. A note though...they have moved. Their new phone number is 248-307-9090 and they're located over on John R, just south of 13 Mile Road. Happy adventures to all!

My absolute favorite place for breakfast AND lunch. Have made converts of many friends and relatives over the years and it is a tradition for three generations of aunts and cousins to meet there at Christmas for a large brunch. Penny and her mom are the most gracious hostesses imaginable and do all that they can to make you feel comfortable. Rudy is a great waiter and food is always fresh and hot. Check out the crab cakes, they are fabulous. Sad news for Clawsonites, however....the Breakfast Club is moving to Madison Heights on January 7. The space will be bigger and hopefully the ambiance will remain the same. I will miss my favorite little place!

In a word, "Outstanding"!! I'd give it ten Golden Eggs if I could. This delightful, little restaurant is owned by Penny L. White and it appears this woman knows exactly what she's doing and is a breakfast artist. Small, with only ten tables and four stools, but in warm weather there's outside seating. Flowers on the tables, fresh squeezed OJ, none of the run of the mill stuff here. The house French toast is outrageous, topped with three types of berries and whipped cream, unlike any you've ever had before. My scrambled eggs were perfect done in their "New York Style" which means topped with shredded cheese which gradually melts in. Fruit dish on each plate, assorted types of creamers, excellent coffee. Does it get any better? Oh yeah!! Bacon cut thick from the slab and smoked. Special omelet of the day was crab/mushroom/spinach. Service was great, four waitresses for ten tables, course the outside was closed as it was raining. Am I going back?? Heck, I'm gonna try to move in!!
