well when i was little my dad paul gray work there and we would come in and we would get ice cream from the owners wife this restaurant is one of the best I mean best restuarant out there you will be a fool not to eat there the food is excellente,great,awsome,wonderful so what are you waiting on go get some great food i would know

You'll have to update a little now. It's now called The Avenue. It's the same owners but for some reason they've moved away from Ram's Horn. The menu is new. The wait staff seemed to be 50-50 of old and new. The food was the same: Good! The one thing missing was the coffee filler person. It was only our waitress that came by and filled us up. Of course, the restaurant had just reformatted the night before, so who knows, maybe they'll have that back too. One HUGE benefit: NON SMOKING for the WHOLE restaurant...still. I wouldn't rate it the best but if you're looking for a quality meal, a decent price, and good service...The Avenue fits the bill.

Forty years ago I used to eat daily on this same plot of land. Where the Ram's Horn of Royal Oak, a franchise, now stands, formerly stood Dan's Big Town Drive In, one of Detroit's best drive in restaurants. I had resisted visiting this Ram's Horn only because I had a bad experience with another one some miles away. My mistake. Plenty of parking, easy to get in and out of the lot and the entire restaurant is NO SMOKING. Spotless, immaculate and extremely pleasing to the senses. Service was swift, I could not drink my coffee fast enough. Restrooms were shiney. My ham/cheese omelet must have been made with five eggs. Big picture windows lookin out of Woodward Ave. which used to be US-10 in the drive in days. Now it's M-1. Beautiful planted flowers at the entrance. I think this Ram's Horn is about to be my new stomping grounds.
