We use to go her all the time, especially breakfast, Shiela is awesome. My family and I went one night, and we were rushed, orders came out wrong, waitress was more than horrible, not friendly at all, my daughter and I brought our families and we called Rodney the owner the following morning to complain and let him know what happened, he promised he would be in touch, well he never sent an e-mail or tel. call back, all we wanted was an acknowledgment that he had talked to the waitress. What a disappointment. We go to 99 when in the area, very good food and service, and in Jewett City/ Lisbon we like Breakfast and things, good prices and excellent service. Again thanks Old Tymes and Rodney for nothing

First of all I know that this rating won't hit the website, as you don't submit any of the disagreeable ones. I know of at least two that were submitted, for sure. (Not Mine). I have as a rule been pretty satified with the service, up until now. I took my two sons, to breakfast on Dec 27. I think it started when the waitress brought us our bill, not even 5 minutes after we were served our meals. After that we didn't see her at all, not for coffee refills or anything. My son wanted a refill on his chocolate milk, so I finally went up to to get one for him. The waitress brought him the chocolate milk, and switched the bills, to reflect my new charge of the chocolate milk. So on my way out, as I paid the bill, two ladies were at the register, one being the owner. I mentioned that I was not pleased with the service and said why. The owner had the audicity to tell me that there is no free refills on the chocolate milk. Now come on, it would have been good business sense to at the very least remove the second chocolate milk. She even took the receipt to look at it and I thought she was going to do, but NO. She charged me anyhow. It's not the chocolate milk, even if it was almost $2.50 for a glass. THAT WAS THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK. I WILL NEVER GO TO OLD TYMES AGAIN, AND TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU THAT 'M GOING TO LET EVERYONE IN THE FREE WORLD KNOW ABOUT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I ALREADY HAVE A FEW FRIENDS THAT WON'T FREQUENT THAT PLACE, NOW I KNOW I WILL HAVE OTHERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS AS WELL. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, SO MUCH FOR PASSING ALONG GOOD TIDINGS AND THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.

It is my the best after church stop. I love to look of the place - the sewing machine tables with old newspapers on the table. To creaky floors and the gagets to play with on the way in. I like it every time I go. I must say that that apple butter is horrible though. really authentic and true, but very yucky. I will also add that they staff never seems very happy, and to me that tells you something about a place. But it is a nice place to check out non-the-less.

This is my favorite breakfast place of all time. Make sure to get the home fries, they have great flavor. Also the Cinnamon Crisp is a must try, but it is sweet and filling. A cozy southern spot in New England.

The last time I went here was a few years ago, but I remember it being delicious, with decent portions. Good biscuits.

Nothing here seems freshly made. The seating is very tight and the staff is not overly friendly. It seems to be the only breakfast spot in Norwich, so I'd recommend heading to New London to the many good breakfast places there just 15 minutes away.

This place has the best service. My total favorite breakfeast there is the cinnamon crisp. It is french toast with fried cinnimon it is like having desert for breakfeast. The side they give you with it is warm apple juice and of course syrup. But thats too much sugar for me the juice refreshes me.

I don't think the food is awesome, but it is the only act in town and therefore is always full. It is standard breakfast fare and a little expensive for what you get. The service is great however and the restaurant is quite New England.

Personally, I think they're a bit on the expensive side for breakfast, but the service and food are both outstanding. They do serve a good amount of southern fare, which is a nice change.

Try the "Ultimate Sandwich". I's biscuits and gravy with poached eggs. My Colorado friend puts honey on it. Can't be beat!

This place has a super atmosphere and the food is solid. It's not quite as good as I expected from the press it has received on food network, etc., but it's really yummy and I can't complain at all.

This has to be Connecticut's Best Breakfast! A Coffeepot on every table, Fast Service, Generous Portions and Great Prices.
For a can't beat meal, try their "Cinnamon Crisp", a deep-fried cinamon French Toast of their own creation. It will spoil you for French Toast for the rest of your life! Ask for the home fries "Well Done on the Grill".
You won't be sorry you went out the way for this one! They are also great for lunch & dinner.
