I tried First Watch for brunch one morning with my parents and my Aunt and Uncle. I ordered their Tri-Athlete Omelet. The english muffin that came with the omelet was certainly the best part of the meal, while the coffee was mediocre at best with slow refills. Will try again, but I will certainly try something else.

There is now a third location at the Dayton Mall. The food is not bad--different breakfasts from the usual, but you can also get the traditional stuff. My only real beef is the coffee--it's terrible! Weak, very little coffee used. They do give you a pot of coffee when you order, but it doesn't matter much, because it's just not good coffee. The service is good, however. It's a popular place in Dayton, I think because it's one of the few places in Dayton that is not a Bob Evans or a Waffle House.

Nice staff, food alright. We went there 3 times. I had a pancake which was very crumbled, my wife had french toast which wasn't cooked throough Ivery doughy), eggs & fruit, the eggs were runny. My mother in-law's food didn't taste right, apart from the toast. Also, coffee cups shouldn't be cold. Atmosphere is kinda nice and they give you free coffee while you wait in line.

First Watch is my family's favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant. There is something for everyone--basics like French Toast, eggs and bacon; they also serve "crepe eggs" and quite a variety of international and healthy choices. They serve coffee by the pot and the chain is entirely smoke-free--all the makings of a great breakfast! They do get crowded over the lunch hour and weekends, but it is worth it.
