I hadn't been there in awhile and I was disapointed. The service was slow and not so friendly (it used to be). the eggs were over-cooked and the pancakes were under-cooked...there are much better options for breakfast in Grand Rapids.

I've been wanting to go here for a long time but last week was the first time I was able to. I got the Banana Fosters French Toast and it was THE BEST french toast I have EVER had. I always get french toast or pancakes from breakfast places so I have tried a lot, and nothing even comes close to this. Their Almond Joy pancakes are next on my list to try; they're definitely nothing I've seen on another menu and they sound delicious.
Unless you get lucky, you'll probably have to wait for a table as it's quite small in there, but it's without a doubt worth it!

Reliably friendly service. Reliably great food (in huge quantities.) Reliably good prices. This is by far the best breakfast place in town. Why else would there be a wait almost every weekend? Nope, they don't take cards but there is an ATM in the back. Try their pancakes. They are the absolute best I've ever had.

Food's fantastic. Huge omelets, pies and cakes made from scratch on site. Family owned by experienced restaurant professionals, cook in full view right behind the counter. Arrive early for lunch, because they can't expand into next door. My only disat is that they don't open for dinner.

The only thing I can say is that this is the "cool" place in town to like. I dont believe anyones reviews because I have tried Real Food Cafe 5 time and it seems to be worse everytime. The size of their omlettes are big, but I guess I'm a quality over quanity guy.
Service is terrible. They are understaffed and not particularly friendly.
And for heaven's sake get a credit card machine you idiots!

Fabulous breakfast! Everything very fresh, huge portions. Homemade sausage is great, really good bacon, too. The biggest, best pancakes around, definitely taste homemade, not like a mix. Weekends are very busy, expect to wait, but everyone is pretty cheerful about it and it is always worth it!
BEST BREAKFAST IN GRAND RAPIDS and in Michigan!

This place is fantastic, so far, I have had mostly just omlettes there, but me and my Parents go there every weekend on there off day of weight watchers and go nuts on the Eggs benidict. I was fond of their monster ommlette but I like making my own. it's more fun that way.

Had a gift cert. for this restaurant. We had the monster omlettes and they were pretty big. The ingredients were first quality but lacked something in the seasoning department. Over all a good quality breakfast and worth the half hour drive.

Hands down, greatest place for breakfast. So far I have tried 6 things on their menu, from the monster quesadilla to their strawberry stuffed French-toast to their Spicy Mediterranean scramble, and I have to say everything I have tried so far has blown me away. I am a regular every Saturday morning at the Northland location, and I still regard it as the greatest place for food anywhere!!

Great Food, but they need to get with the times and add a debit machine, everyone uses debit card these days. Increase business and invest in building your business to this current day and age!!!

I ate at the Northland location recently and it had been a little while since my last visit. The food is always fantastic, but I have to say - I had the best omlette of my life this time.
Perfectly set, perfectly seasoned and all the 'guts' were cooked to perfection. yum!!!
Keep up the great work - big kudos to the kitchen staff - I'll be back often.

I live right around the corner from Real Food and that can be dangerous my friend! Everything is awesome, from the eggs, potatoes, pancakes and french toast. No matter what I get it's always good, hot and brought to the table fast. I love the weekends and walking to my favorite breakfast joint in town. See you Saturday.

I was swimming in my omelette. It appeared to be a new cook on the grill but still both my friend's and I omelette were really wet. I am a guy who always finishes his meal, and I could only eat like half of my food. Wolfgang's, Anna's House and Suise's are much better and the same price or cheaper. Also they don't take credit card and a nice lady had to bail my friend and I out.

The Real Food Cafe should be a breakfast destination for people throughout the Grand Rapids area. The service is excellent and the decor is inviting. What really makes Real Food stand out from the competition is the variety of unique menu items combined with some of the freshest, best-tasting ingredients you can find. Real Food serves all the breakfast (and lunch) basics with outstanding quality, but the huge menu of delicious, unique items means you'll never have to eat the same meal twice. Overall, I'd rate Real Food Cafe as the absolute, hands-down, no doubt about it, far and away best breakfast place in West Michigan!

Nothing processed! Hurray! Very consistent in service and food. Once you try breakfast here, breakfast anywhere will not be the same. It's obvious that customers are treated with a smile and appreciation, but the fact that the most of the staff has been there from the beginning says alot about who Frank and Renee's first customers are, his employees. Congratulations on Rockford opening. Don't forget the fabulous pastries and cake. Put your holiday orders in now.

Best eggs benedict in town. Either the original or veggie are so yummy. Everything from the omelets to the basics of eggs and toast is fantastic. Their bacon and their sausage is so good. The service has always been fast and friendly and I've always had a good meal.

Weekends are very busy, expect to wait, but everyone is pretty cheerful about it and it is always worth it. Lunches are also very good, especially the homemade soups. Service is very friendly and the owner is always there. He greets all the regulars by name and has their "usual" cooking almost before they can sit down. Sit at the counter if you can, it's fun to watch the action!
