I just called the Brick Haus, according to the recording, it will be closed till end of April of 2011. All I know.

This is my opinion of our prior visits. It has been about 12 months since we have been there. We try to make the trip once or twice a year just so we can eat there and walk around town.

The food is Great! A bit greasy, yes, but everything is oh so good! If you're going to worry about your calorie intake, keep quite about it so you don't ruin it for the rest of us! The pancakes are to die for - it's a must to have two. And the peach perserves are awesome! The fried potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, juice are all great. Still hungry? Ask for more and they will kindly bring it to you.

The only thing I wish were different has nothing to do with their breaskast style meal; The bathroom is so small you can bearly turn around in it. Also, I bought their peach perserves to take home once and was very disappointed to find that they didn't come close to be as good as the perserves they served.

We're making a trip there (over 100 miles one way) tomorrow morning for breakfast and are taking some friends that haven't been there before. I'm so excited, I can't wait! So.... as I said above, be sure to check back for my new comments next week when I can give you my current opinion!

I have several relatives that work at the Brick Haus and all this trash about rehashing their food is the biggest joke because this is not done. All my family can say is that the breakfast at this place is the best! The pancakes are world class and the homemade peach jam is awesome. There was plenty of breakfast meats and fried potatoes . Around 9:30 on a Sunday we had a short wait before we had a table the place was packed! Our server was Crystal she was great and we will be back!

I ate here one time after moving to the Amana's. Never again. Pricey for what you get. As long as you don't mind eating food that someone else did not finish, this the place for you. I lived in the Amana's for many years and heard first-hand from wait staff and cooks that this was standard practice. Walt is a tightwad.

Pancakes were the greatest, all you care to eat,
overeasy eggs were prefect, big bowl of fresh fruit, all items refilled on request at no extra charge, service was great.

We ate breakfast and the bacon plate had about 1/3 cup of grease in the bottom of the plate. The eggs were fried, but they did not tell us when we ordered. They had only one kind of jelly for the table. For $9.00 a plate, I expect more than what we got or even what we wanted. The pancakes were good, but that was it on a Saturday breakfast. I will not go back to eat breakfast and we are moving to the area.

This is one of the best offered breakfast specials in the country. Lots of good quality food served family style in a charming german community.

Seriously, don't go here. The food was horrible, and they took un-used food from one table and gave it to the one across the way.
