The Bread Basket, aka Alpine Bread Basket, is over-priced, dirty, and a total waste of time, taste, and money. Only the unsuspecting eat there - never to return to this God-forsaken poorly run "establishment".

This is by far the best breakfast restaurant you can find. The food is made to order and the taste is awesome. By the way the place is filled with Alpine residents who enjoy good cooking.

this place is highly overrated. all the years i lived in alpine, i never heard of locals eating at the bread basket. food is so-so, and is expensive for what you get. the little flags are pretty cool though. if you're there and want breakfast go ahead, but if you drive 60 miles to eat there, you will pass at least that many better restaurants.

Very good breakfasts. A bit pricey, though. Fresh-baked bread from in-house bakery. People come from up to 60 miles away to eat here, especially on the weekends. On Sundays you might wait an hour for a table. On each table is a little red pennant on a little flag pole. Raise the pennant to the top of the flag pole and your server will usually be there within 60 seconds. (If it's really busy, expect a 2-3 minute wait.) Indoor and patio dining. Don't forget to check out their baked goods at the front counter.
