The restaurant is quite easy to find, but farther out than we had expected. It was crowded, lots of Happy Valentines breakfasts being served today. I had the "Trout & Egg" breakfast. It was excellent in flavor and a very large serving. There was a group of 6 of us, and everyone's meal looked great. Even the "lite" breakfast was almost as large as the regular priced. You have to be ready for "antique-type atmosphere". It gave me the feeling of being out on grandma's farm 50 yrs ago. They have lots of "HISTORY" for that area with a little gift store, too. The prices were great especially for the large servings. My husband said the coffee was not strong enough but enjoyed his "Critic's choice" meal. Very family oriented with lots of old time memorabilia.

The food's pretty good here, but I have to argue with all the 'great service' entries I see above. We live in a town about 15 miles away from Enumclaw, and have made the trip to Krain Corner for a Sunday breakfast 5 or 6 times. On every occasion, the great service was very evident- as long as you're a local and the server recognizes you. Every one of our visits has been characterized by long waits and almost openly hostile waitstaff. I can think of two other spots in Enumclaw where the food is just as good- or better- and the atmosphere blows this place out of the water.

Have watched this historic restaurant fight to maintain their quality and business during this tough economic time particularly since the owner died, they were burglarized, had their cooler break down, and the state forced them to put in a new overly expensive hood) We love the people that work there and enjoy the great food and ambiance. (they no longer charge a fee for using credit cards)They also have a garage sale going on to help defray expenses! Try it, you'll like it.

I have stopped going to this restaurant. I will now give all my business to "Charlies" , who gives free coffee to all their customers. The Krain is now charging a fee of $1.50 for using your credit card (not allowed) and the past few times I have been in for breakfast and dinner they have overcooked the food, which was obvious to all, but served it anyway. Years ago I contacted the owners (the son) about a question on the price of the orange juice and was left a very rude message. I am dissapointed with the food the prices and the quality of service. I will no longer give this business my money. I will give my business to Charlies where the service and cleanliness alone blow the Krain out of the water! Come on, a $1.50 for a credit card fee?

We moved to Enumclaw about 3 years ago and live about 10 minutes from this place. I haven't had a Spanish Omlette like this in years! Their food is outstanding and service is the same. We LOVE coming to this place!

The Krain Korner building is part of Enumclaw's history, some of which is displayed on the walls as you enter. Once a tavern and eatery it is now the best restaurant in town if you are in search of a relaxing breakfast. The atmosphere and decor of this quaint corner cafe will surprise you. You feel as though you are home. Great food, great service, all at a good price.
