Considering the killer restaurants that are a mere block or two from Our Daily Bread, I wouldn't even consider this place. I walk on the sidewalk behind ODB frequently and it's a sketchy-looking place from the back to say the least. We went there the other night for a slice of pie because it was the only thing open and in conversation the waitress admitted that she wasn't going to wash our dishes before going home because then she'd "have to wash the whole load back there." Well, come on in, cockroaches!! I live in this neighborhood-on-the-Willamette and I can tell you ants and rats are a problem here... It's too bad, really. If you have a large group you'd need a good family restaurant like this has potential to be, and their location is great! But as a neighbor, it grosses me out. Check out the other awesome locally-owned eateries in St Johns instead!

They treat me and my friends like royalty. More often than not the owner of the restaurant is our server. Being a regular there has its benefits. They know how we like things.

We drove up from Salem for a birthday celebration to have a late afternoon breakfast (served all day long).
Of the five in our group, Two had omlettes which were very good, but one was disappointed with having no cheese in his Denver omlette(it was an extra charge). One person had Country Fried Steak and said it was good, but not excellent. Another person had Biscuits & Gravy and said that it was not good at all and didn't even finish it at all. The biscuits were very doughy she said. I had the French toast which was excellent. Now the hash browns that came with three of the meals were over cooked and had a horible flavor. I, however, had ordered hashbrowns on the side and they were cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. Go figure. And lastly the toast was good but the bacon was stone cold hard without even having the chance of being brought back to life by nukeing it.
Service was good, we did complained about the biscuits, hashbrowns and bacon, but also told them about the french toast, omlettes and my side order of hash browns being very good. They gave us a discount off of the ticket mainly due to the biscuits being so horrible. My folks got a senior discount as well, even though they have a senior menu.
The building could use a exterior paint job, but the interior is very nice, big and clean. The bathrooms were clean as well and one nice touch was near instant hot water due to a small water heater right under the sink.
Overall, it would be fair to say that we probably wouldn't be going back. We just have too many other favorite restaurants to go to.
