I am a trouble shooter for baker's Square restaurant and pie shops for california. I have worked at this one and believe me it is a dump. I continously to this day refuse to eat there. When I have to work there I always go out and get food from another restaurant. The other day I took a butter knife and ran it along the wall in the kitchen. OMG you would be amazed at how much dried crusted food was on there. There is no food rotation and they were serving Meat that should have been tossed about four days earlier. The employee hand washing sink is always dirty and out of soap (so how are they washing their hands again?). There is ALWAYS mold and mildew on the walls of the walk in cooler and the kitchen fridges. I went into the kitchen to give them cleaning projects to do and was completely disgusted when I looked up and saw soooo much dirt and grease hanging and I do mean hanging off the filters above the grill. Above all the open food. The management of the northern california locations leave alot to be desired so if you dont mind a little secret sauce or a little something extra i recomend any Baker's Square in Northern california ( this span is from Salinas to Auburn)
Ask Jerome Paraiso in San Leandro for a tour of his store. Or Tim Senchina in San Jose (almaden expressway). Nichelle Jarvis in Salinas is pretty lucky, her store was just remodled. Livermore is the only place i know of that the manager (rene) actually cares about the customers and quality. If you dont believe me go check them out. They may refill your coffe quite a bit but that is so you dont realize what your food really taste like. These names are real. They are the store managers so give them a call sometime. Enjoy your dinner.

The servers always remember me when I go in, along with various other regulars. They are always pretty friendly, and the managers are usually around keeping an eye on things. The place is always pretty clean, also.

The Chirizzo Skillet is the best. The Bakers Omlette is also very tasty.
